technology 1910s?
What was the technology of the 1910s? I have zippers, stainless steel, and pop-up toasters...what else is there? Also, would the first moving assembly line count for Automobiles or Technology?
They didn't have pop-up toasters until the late 1920's. Recent developments around 1910 were big diesels (but not road diesels) telephones, radiotelegraphy, airplanes, machine guns, inexpensive aluminum, high-speed electric railways (I think), home photography, the Linotype machine for newspapers and books, early facsimile machines (they used telephone lines) and adding machines. Player pianos were just coming out about then, too, much to the delight of the musician's unions.
