As a Pure Romance Consultant, how much should I take out for taxes?
I sell Pure Romance. I started selling only a couple of months ago, so I have no clue how much to set aside for taxes. I am taxed upon purchasing the items for resale (it's basically the same kind of thing as like, pampered chef or mary kay--I buy items at a discounted price from the corporate office and then sell it to clients at parties at the retail price.)
I live in PA, if this makes a difference. Thanks!
You will need to keep a record of sales tax collected and submit that to the taxing authorities, probably once every quarter.
For your estimated income tax, you should figure about 30% of your net income for taxes. (15.6% for social security & medicare, about 15% for state & federal). That should also be sent in quarterly. The Pampered Chef's business was based around the fact of the the busy, and sometimes hectic schedule of households. The accessories, tips, and majority of the recipes were designed with this in mind. For the individual who looks to market their products find themselves in a growing niche market in this day and age of both adults working.
The Pampered Chef is built upon a multi level marketing structure. A consultant can sign up and begin within their warm market for hosting dinner parties using these unique products in their presentation.
