size of mixing bowl if using electric beater/mixer?
i got some black and decker beaters/electric mixer yesterday and decided to try them out by making a cake today. i used a large glass bowl and put the speed on 1 (it goes up to 5) and the sugar and butter started flying around! should I have used a larger bowl?
Was your butter soft enough to mix with the sugar? That helps too. Put it in the microwave on a low temp ( I used a medium temp for 10 seconds) for quick zap to soften it and then start on a lower speed and it should catch hold of the sugar. Other suggestion is to add liquid first if your recipe allows. Good luck.
